Part-Time Rollback Tow Truck Driver
Emmett Head Auto Parts in Bonaire, Georgia, is seeking a dependable part-time rollback driver to pick up purchased vehicles and transport them to our salvage yard. This position focuses on local pickups of running and non-running cars.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a light-duty rollback tow truck.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using proper winching and tie-down procedures.
- Complete pre-trip inspections, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and towing equipment.
- Communicate professionally with customers to coordinate pickups.
- Confirm vehicle information and collect required pickup paperwork.
- Stay in contact with yard staff and report delays or equipment problems.
- Keep the truck and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow traffic laws and applicable commercial vehicle safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the assigned truck.
- Driving record acceptable to our insurance company.
- Rollback or tow truck experience preferred.
- Familiarity with air-brake operation and inspections.
- Ability to safely load non-running vehicles, including those with flat tires or missing wheels.
- Dependable attendance, clear communication, and good customer service.
- Comfortable working outdoors and handling straps, chains, and towing equipment.
Schedule and Pay
Part-time hours based on vehicle pickup needs. Pay based on experience and discussed before starting.
