OVERVIEW
Pattison ID is seeking an experienced Journeyman Sign Electrician/Installer to join our team. We manufacture, install, and service a wide variety of signs throughout the metroplex and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will take ownership of all aspects of sign installation, from preparation to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install channel letters, wall signs, pole signs, and pylon signs.
- Perform accurate site surveys and troubleshoot non-working signs for service calls.
- Review work orders, read blueprints, and identify necessary tools, materials, and equipment for installations.
- Use design reference materials to establish site-specific layouts and develop installation strategies and procedures.
- Measure and mark guidelines to ensure safe and efficient installation.
- Lead and direct one or more installation crews as needed.
- Communicate effectively with customers, general contractors, and internal teams.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures throughout preparation and installation.
Qualifications
- Journeyman License (Required)
- Class A CDL (Highly Preferred)
- Crane Certification
- Ability to install all types of signs (electrical and non-electrical)
- Repelling License (Training available)
- Proficient in using electrical and basic hand tools
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Flexibility to work extended hours and in varying weather conditions
Experience
- 3–5 years of professional sign installation experience
- Minimum 3 years of sign fabrication or service experience
- At least 3 years operating a reach truck or similar equipment

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will frequently:
- Physically capable of walking, standing, bending and stooping, for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Lift moderate to heavy materials and equipment up to 80 pounds frequently
- Work on their feet for long durations
- Use hand tools for fabrication and assembly
- No fear of heights or confined spaces
- Travel up to 50% of the time to job sites as required
