Detailed Description
- Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee Hours of Service (HOS) compliance and monitor electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Conduct and document vehicle inspections, maintenance records, and DOT audits.
- Conducts transportation incident investigations, gathers and analyzes relevant information, and implements appropriate corrective actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Train drivers and field personnel on DOT regulations, company transportation policies, and safety procedures.
- Support internal and external regulatory audits and inspections.
- Maintain compliance records for fleet vehicles, trailers, and drivers.
- Assist with transportation risk assessments and route planning for heavy haul or oversize loads.
- Excellent knowledge of FMCSA regulation and DOT compliance
- Excellent knowledge of operational needs around vehicle /equipment
- High School Diploma or GED
- CDL-A Commercial Driver’s License with minimum of 5 years’ driving experience
- 3 years’ experience in a DOT compliance role
