Key Accountabilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions

• Greet customers, visitors, and employees as they arrive at the designated premises or buildings.
• Maintain contact logs with employees and visitors, including equipment and reason for visit information.
• Serve as a communication liaison between the Trucking Supervisor and/or acting supervisors.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that could pose security risks or safety hazards.
• Keep detailed records of trucks, trailers, equipment, and company information entering and exiting the gate.
• Contact supervisors in emergency situations or when threats arise, and attempt to manage situations until help arrives.
• Provide assistance and support to customers, visitors, and employees at the gates, maintaining a professional and courteous manner.
• Coordinate equipment availability and on-site resources.
• Manage trailer inspections, and handle pickup and drop-off paperwork.
• Possess knowledge of truck, trailer, and equipment types.
• Operate a forklift for loading and unloading sandboxes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

• Act professional.
• Ability to read and write detailed reports. Strong phone and computer skills – MS office and MS Excel.
• Knowledge in operating various commonly used office equipment’s and electronic media.
• High level of organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to use the internet and to do research work.
  
  

Language Comprehension

Ability to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employee to issue, receive and respond to both safety and operations-related directions in English
