Janitorial Worker / Cleaner
Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial Worker / Cleaner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout our facilities. The ideal candidate is proactive, thorough, and committed to creating a positive experience for staff, clients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, carpets, furniture, and fixtures
- Empty trash, recycling, and compost bins regularly
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and dispensers
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Clean windows, glass doors, and other surfaces as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage and usage
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management
- Assist with setup, rearrangement, or light moving of furniture and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and use protective gear as required
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
