- Assist with reviewing and interpreting product specifications and bills of materials to ensure accuracy and alignment with engineering requirements.
- Support the development and testing of control product solutions, including reviewing application limits, drafting documentation, and participating in product improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and sourcing teams to help qualify vendors, track compliance with electrical codes and standards, and maintain strong cross-functional communication.
- Contribute to technical training and support materials, including product manuals, reference guides, and resources for both internal teams and external customers.
- Gain exposure to new product introduction (NPI) processes, control system design, and customer-focused solutions that integrate with broader SPX product offerings.
What We Are Looking For (Required/Ideal Experience, Skills, Education)

Required Experience & Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with various test equipment
- Knowledge of and ability to apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of structural engineering to projects
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, or Materials Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
- Cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Hybrid work schedule
- The position may require working occasionally outside normal work hours.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Keyboarding/typing.
- Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or a paper copy.
- Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
