Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and production guidelines.
- Accurately portion, season, and present food items while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Prepare hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
- Follow standardized recipes and cooking instructions to ensure proper taste, texture, and presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, stoves, and other food preparation equipment.
- Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping, cutting, measuring, mixing, and portioning ingredients.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including cooking surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist with stocking, inventory control, and proper storage of food supplies.
- Support kitchen operations during high-volume service periods.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant, healthcare, hospitality, school, or institutional kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
