Job Purpose
Pattern Energy is looking for a confident, mission-driven professional to fill the role of Director, Compliance Systems. This individual will be responsible for assessing the Company's corporate and energy regulatory compliance programming and thoughtfully designing and building programming as the Company transitions from a project development-focused organization into a maturing operating energy company.
This role covers the following compliance programming areas: corporate compliance (including anti-corruption and ethics), energy regulatory compliance (including FERC, CFTC, DOE and state and local energy regulations) and other areas related to the development, ownership and operation of electric-power generation and transmission projects throughout the Americas.

Key Accountabilities
- Design and build energy regulatory compliance programming and systems
- Design and build corporate compliance programming and systems
- Assess standards, procedures and accountability structures for functional areas and lead department's participation in enterprise-wide assessments of strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities to the business
Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
- An undergraduate degree and relevant professional certifications are required.
- At least 10 years of experience directing governance and compliance for energy companies.
- Ability to manage people, write clearly and concisely, exercise objective judgment when evaluating matters related to ethics or conflicts, work cross functionally, assess risks and mitigants, prioritize and lead critical workstreams, assess and communicate impacts and design and implement processes, procedures and systems across geographies and subject matters.
- Experience with enterprise risk assessments and audit is preferred.
