JOB PURPOSE
To oversee Pattern’s trading activity across all applicable markets, including prop and hedging activities. The position requires knowledge of short-term (<1 month), mid-term (1 month-3 months), and long-term (<2 years) transaction opportunities.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Manage execution of day-ahead & term transactions in multiple markets and book structures across the US, including strategy and physical asset optimization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on electricity markets and physical asset performance in those markets to the company;
- Develop and grow new strategies for profit generation and optimization.
- Help oversee front office trading compliance day-to-day within stated risk policies and limits;
- Coordinate with multiple intra company teams, including risk, asset management, performance management, and field operations on position and
Qualifications
Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
5 years of industry and market experience in renewables and their interaction in power markets, understanding of project economics and budgeting, contracting wholesale power and various contract arrangements, oversee trading compliance, strong data and analytical skills, and an ability to lead a diverse team.
The expected starting pay range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000 USD. This range is an estimate, and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
