Armed Vehicle Patrol Officer - Pico Rivera, CA
Pay: $20.50–$21.00 per hour, depending on certifications · twice-monthly pay
Schedule: overnight; one full-time and one part-time position (see below)
Location: county flood-control facilities in Pico Rivera. Best for applicants who live in or near Pico Rivera, Whittier, Downey, Montebello, Santa Fe Springs, Norwalk or El Monte.
What you'll do
- Provide armed vehicle patrol of county flood-control facilities overnight
- Patrol by vehicle and on foot, and check gates, fencing and equipment
- Write clear daily activity and incident reports
- Respond to alarms and incidents, and contact police or emergency services when needed
- Provide professional, courteous service to county staff
Open schedules
- Full-time: Monday through Friday 11:00pm - 7:00am (40 hours) This schedule is temporary but could become permanent.
- Part-time: Thursday and Friday 11:00pm - 6:00am Saturday and Sunday 11:00pm - 7:00am (30 hours)

- Valid California BSIS Guard Card and BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
- Baton permit, pepper spray certification and CPR/First Aid
- Your own duty firearm, baton and pepper spray (the company does not provide them)
- Valid California driver's license with a clean 3-year driving record
- Reliable transportation to Pico Rivera for overnight shifts
- Able to write clear reports in English and use a smartphone for daily activity reports
