About Us
Patriot Trinity, LLC is an AISC-certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator and erector. We support large-scale commercial and industrial projects and take pride in safety, quality, and craftsmanship.
We are currently hiring CNC Operators at multiple experience levels (Class A, B, and C). Pay rates vary based on experience, skill level, and equipment knowledge.
Position Overview
The CNC Operator is responsible for using pre-nested cut cards and related documentation to convert raw structural steel into semi-finished parts for fabrication. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read and verify cut information, and a strong understanding of steel material types and cutting processes.
Experience Levels
We are hiring across all levels:
Class A (Advanced)
- Extensive CNC experience in a structural steel fabrication environment
- Strong G-code knowledge with the ability to interpret and edit programs
- Preferred: Experience operating a Kinetic Plate machine
- Ability to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment
Class B (Intermediate)
- Prior CNC experience in steel or manufacturing environments
- Able to read cut cards, verify materials, and operate CNC equipment with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of G-code and tooling
Class C (Entry Level)
- Entry-level candidates with manufacturing, shop, or steel experience encouraged to apply
- Willingness to learn CNC operations, steel identification, and shop safety
- Training provided for motivated candidates
Pay Range:
Compensation varies by experience level (Class A/B/C), skills, and equipment knowledge. Competitive pay offered based on qualifications.
Essential Job Functions
- Verify correct material prior to cutting
- Work from pre-nested cut sheets and cut cards
- Read, understand, and verify cut card information including:
- Beam type, size, and weight
- Cut length
- Heat numbers
- Match nested cut sheet descriptions with material
- Accurately read and use a tape measure
- Use manual or CNC measuring tools to measure material
- Apply piece marks and identify steel per job requirements
- Safely stack material and stage steel for upcoming jobs
- Understand, interpret, and edit G-code programming (level-dependent)
- Recognize and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling
- Ensure inserts are in working condition and material is cut square
- Properly mark drops and return usable material to stock
- Load and unload CNC machines using an overhead crane
- Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on CNC machinery
- Comply with all quality policies, safety regulations, and work instructions
- Identify and understand material types:
- WF (Wide Flange)
- TS (Tube Steel)
- CH (Channel)
- L (Angle)
