Available Positions Include:
- Survey Project Manager (PLS Required): A senior leadership role combining strategic financial oversight with the legal accountability of a licensed Professional Land Surveyor.
- Survey Project Manager: Responsible for comprehensive project management, including proposal writing, client relationships, and team leadership.
- Survey Phase Manager: A role for those looking to advance into project management by managing specific project performance, strategy, and technical personnel.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS): Focuses on the technical accuracy and legal certification of final plans, maps, and regulatory compliance.
- Survey Crew Chief: Leads field operations, directs field measurements, and supervises field crews for major nationwide projects.
- Survey Data Technician: An office-based technical role focused on processing field data, developing surface models, and supporting deed research.
- Survey Instrument Operator / Technician: The backbone of field operations, responsible for high-precision data collection using GNSS/GPS, Total Stations, and electronic data collectors.
Office Locations & Travel
We have office locations in Mooresville, NC (HQ), Arundel, ME, Traverse City, MI, Woodstock, GA, Harrison, OH, Oak Island, NC, and Charleston, SC. While many roles are office-based, we prioritize candidates with high travel availability for our nationwide infrastructure projects.
Essential Qualifications
- Licensure: PLS or LSIT licensure is preferred or required for senior and management roles.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Survey Engineering (ABET-accredited) is preferred for most management and technical roles.
- Experience: Requirements range from entry-level technician roles to senior positions requiring 5 years of progressive experience in geomatics and project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and modern survey equipment (Trimble, Topcon, Leica).
- Compliance: All roles require a valid driver’s license, a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and the ability to pass a drug screening and 7-year criminal background check.
Physical Requirements & Environment
- Field Roles: Must be able to hike rough terrain, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Office Roles: Frequent sitting for long periods using computers for data processing and administrative tasks.
