• Expect some type of individual, technical repair – not just networking but not someone just "off the street" who has never experienced this type of work before
• Certified for weights and measures
- In PA they don't need the certification but need to know what they are doing (In order to validate that a fix on some equipment there is correct a certification, weights and measures, and in some states it is required, but in PA not required)
3. Typical day in the life example
• We would assign each technician a "home store" location based upon where they live. The technician would start their day by either arriving at their home store at 8AM to pick up parts or start their drive to the scheduled store for that day's work. Our techs do not punch clocks, but they are monitored by their supervisor (honor system). Technician would end their day to be back at their home store location at 4:30PM. We have a 30- minute lunch typically 12-12:30PM.
4. Overtime or on-call opportunities, PTO coverage
• The (2) primary initiatives that we are scoping can be done during business hours. That said we want to leave the door wide open for the flexibility that our techs provide of a 24-hour availability for scheduled work. The key here being that it is mostly scheduled work with a week’s notice.
• If a job runs into overtime, we are OK with that as long as it makes sense from an efficiency standpoint (prevent a return trip or leave something down at a store).
• As an end client technician, weekend possibilities are expected. For the contracted technicians and the initiatives planned, it is not anticipated at this time, but if something comes into the workplan that is not currently known, it can change.
• The end client observes all the national holidays, and the end client would not schedule the technicians to work those days. These would not be paid holidays for contracted resources. In a holiday week, we could discuss the option of (4) 10-hour days if it makes sense and can be accommodated. This depends on the work and geography of the stores. We do not want to pay to have techs driving around just to get 40 hours. Needs to be productive.
• The end client understands that everyone has unplanned emergencies, and we will work the individual as long as it is not abused. For known, planned time-off, we ask for 2 weeks' notice for scheduling purposes. These are not paid events.
