About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on problem solver who can handle a variety of residential maintenance and repair tasks. This position is a great fit for someone with experience in general home maintenance who enjoys working independently while also being part of a team.

You don't need to know everything—we value someone who is willing to learn, has good common sense, communicates well, and takes pride in doing the job right.

There is room for growth within Patriot Pros, including opportunities to take on additional responsibility, develop specialized skills, and move into lead or supervisory roles as the company grows.

What You'll Do

• Complete assigned work orders generated from customer service requests, as well as preventative maintenance throughout the properties. .
• Diagnose the source of maintenance issues and complete repairs in accordance with company procedures, safety standards, and applicable codes.
• Perform a variety of residential handyman and maintenance repairs, including minor drywall, painting, carpentry, doors, basic electrical, plumbing repairs, and general home maintenance.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant homes by completing necessary maintenance and repairs and ensuring the home is ready for the next resident - as needed by customer request.
• Obtain necessary materials, supplies, equipment, and tools needed to complete assigned work.
• Track materials and supplies used, return unused items to their proper location, and communicate supply or reordering needs to the maintenance supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean and leave homes in a professional condition.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property managers, vendors, contractors, and the office.
• Document completed work, materials used, and any additional maintenance issues identified through our digital work order system.
• Complete work orders and required documentation accurately and in a timely manner so maintenance requests can be properly tracked and closed.
• Assist with sprinkler and irrigation repairs when applicable.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain Patriot Pros' standards for quality, professionalism, and customer service.

What We're Looking For

• 3 years of experience in residential maintenance, handyman work, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Strong general repair and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Ability to work independently and manage your daily workload.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and comfortably stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in a variety of environments, including indoor, outdoor, and crawl-space areas.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
• Experience with rental properties or property management is a plus.
• Sprinkler/irrigation experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with digital work order systems such as Property Meld, AppFolio, Housecall Pro, or Jobber is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• $25–$32 per hour, depending on experience
• $150 monthly tool and cell phone stipend
