Patriot Machine is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to strengthen our security posture, protect critical systems, and support our commitment to safeguarding sensitive information. The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enhancing cybersecurity controls across our manufacturing and enterprise environments. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with federal security requirements, including NIST, DFARS, and CMMC, and in safeguarding our operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents across IT/OT environments
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls aligned with federal contracting requirements
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits; track remediation efforts to completion
- Manage and improve endpoint protection, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and identity/access management tools
- Support incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident reporting
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, compliance, and operations teams to ensure secure system configurations and change management
- Maintain documentation required for federal compliance, audits, and security assessments
- Provide cybersecurity training and awareness to employees at all levels
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience
- 3 years of cybersecurity experience, preferably within manufacturing or a regulated industry
- Experience with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or other federal cybersecurity frameworks required
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Hands-on experience with SIEMs, firewalls, EDR tools, vulnerability management platforms, and network security controls
- Understanding of industrial control systems (ICS) or OT security a plus
- Relevant certifications preferred (Security , CEH, CISSP, GSEC, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly
