Day in the Life:
As a Plant Manager, your primary responsibilities will entail:
- Developing production schedules based on due dates, material availability, staffing, and equipment constraints.
- Overseeing manufacturing operations including purchasing, production runs, external operations, and shipping
- Managing staff including training, providing support, and handling disciplinary action
- Ensure equipment is kept in working order and arrange for regular cycles of preventative maintenance
- Interacting with production and engineering staff to ensure quality issues are resolved and documented
- Maintaining a compliant work environment in accordance with safety and environmental regulatory requirements
- Completing documentation in line with ISO 9001 requirements including KPIs, inspection logs, nonconformances, and corrective actions

- Understanding of metallurgy basics, metalworking principles, and nonferrous casting processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical documents
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and ISO quality systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates adaptability and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting 30 pounds, bending, twisting, and standing for long periods of time.
