The right candidate for this position is someone with extensive experience in Safety who will support our projects. This person will constantly be responsible for successfully integrating safety initiatives into the functional operation of the different projects by maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of the law or company policies and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
About The Role
We are seeking an organized and dedicated Shop Administrator-DS to join our Fabrication Shop in a full-time, hourly capacity. In this role, you will serve as a key support for shop operations, ensuring smooth administrative processes and efficient coordination. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with at least 2 years of experience who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives in working collaboratively with a dynamic team.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and maintain accurate shop records, including reports, schedules, and inventory logs.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and vendors to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support the department by managing administrative tasks such as data entry, correspondence, and document filing.
- Monitor shop supplies and place orders as needed to maintain operational readiness.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for departmental reviews.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards within the operational workflow.
- Address any operational or administrative challenges promptly to minimize disruption.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by collaborating effectively with team members and leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in an operational or retail environment.
- Strong proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in office software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Understanding of operational workflows and ability to adapt to a fast-paced setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in administration or a related field is a plus.
