About The Role
As a Fitter/Fabricator, you will be a crucial part of our operations, assembling and fitting structural, plate, and mechanical materials into various assemblies. You’ll work closely with the Shop Superintendent and other team members to ensure high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and Fit: Work with structural forms like frames, bridge parts, beams, and columns.
- Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret blueprints to plan fitting operations.
- Precision Work: Use your fitter skills to layout and fit detail parts accurately.
- Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of fit-ups before inspection.
- Experience: Extensive experience in fitting and fabricating is essential.
- Education: High school diploma or GED, plus 12 months of training or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Proficiency in reading shop drawings, high motivation, and the ability to work independently.
- Certifications: Current welding and OSHA certifications are required.
- Bonus: Experience in overhead crane operation is a plus!
