About Patriot Erectors, LLC

Build something that lasts — with a team that has your back.

Patriot Erectors is a full-service, AISC-Certified Steel Fabricator and AISC-Certified Advanced Steel Erector. Since 1991, from our modern 60,000-square-foot facility just west of Austin, Texas, we’ve fabricated and erected structural steel for complex buildings and non-building structures — with a relentless focus on quality, safety, and pride in every project.

Requirements

People come first here. Our mission is to fabricate and erect steel that meets or exceeds our customers’ requirements — without defects or accidents. We invest in understanding what our market, customers, and employees need, and we live by five values that spell exactly who we are:

STEEL — Safety, Teamwork, Ethics, Enthusiasm, and Leadership.

Our vision is simple: Recognize a Need & Fulfill It. We seek out steel-related opportunities and take on challenges to deliver outcomes that are mutually respected and mutually beneficial — fueling growth for our employees, our stakeholders, and the communities we call home.

The right candidate for this position is someone with extensive Safety experience who will support our projects. This person will constantly be responsible for successfully integrating safety initiatives into the functional operation of the different projects by maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of the law or company policies and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Preview projects and project sites before work begins to determine safety-related risks.
  • Visit active project sites to assess ongoing work conditions to ensure compliance.
  • Work with project management teams and field workers to develop and implement solutions to safety-related issues on project sites.
  • Maintaining safety-related paperwork, including OSHA 300 logs.
  • Maintaining safety training certification, including OSHA OTI.
  • Training company employees on safe work practices.
  • Disciplining employees and subcontractors who fail to comply with minimum safety standards.

Skills Required

  • Ability to listen – the ability to listen well and take in feedback from the employee's perspective without passing judgment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations about the specific trade or activity being managed.
  • Good recordkeeping abilities – the Construction Safety Manager must be able to maintain good records of all safety-related activities.
  • Ability to access heights via ladders or scaffolding. A significant amount of construction work takes place at heights above ground level, which requires the Construction Safety Manager to be able to access the work to evaluate it.
  • Knowledge of the specific skilled trade or type of work that their company does. This enables the Construction Safety Manager to design and implement effective solutions for the company.

Experience

  • 8 years of experience in EH&S roles within manufacturing, industrial, or high‑growth environments.
  • Strong communication skills; hands‑on, proactive approach to solving safety challenges
  • Prior experience with controlled documentation/documentation change management.
  • Demonstrated initiative in proactively identifying future potential safety risks and suggesting or implementing appropriate countermeasures.
