What You’ll Do
As a Loan Officer, you’ll deliver outstanding service and financial solutions to our members every day. You’ll guide members through the loan process—from application to closing—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive experience.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Interview members to understand their financial needs and recommend the right loan products.
- Process, analyze, and underwrite consumer loan applications within approved authority.
- Review credit reports, calculate debt-to-income ratios, and make informed lending decisions.
- Complete loan documentation accurately and ensure all regulatory and policy requirements are met.
- Manage your loan pipeline and follow up with members to keep applications moving efficiently.
- Verify title work, insurance, and lien perfection for secured loans.
- Support members with loan servicing questions, including payment plans and payoff requests.
- Work collaboratively with teammates and vendors, including dealerships and insurance providers.
- Achieve loan production and service goals while maintaining compliance with lending laws and policies.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of lending or underwriting experience (credit union or financial institution preferred).
- Strong knowledge of consumer loan products, credit analysis, and lending compliance.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
- A team player with integrity, initiative, and a member-focused mindset.
