About the Position

A growing distribution company in New Castle, DE is seeking an experienced Delivery Driver / Warehouse Lead to join our team immediately.

This is a hands-on position for a dependable, safety-conscious individual who can effectively manage daily warehouse operations while also handling local and regional deliveries. The ideal candidate will be organized, mechanically inclined, comfortable operating a forklift, and able to work independently while maintaining a high level of customer service.

This position offers an opportunity to take a leadership role within a busy warehouse and distribution operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport products to customers and job sites
• Load, secure, transport, and unload deliveries
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Lead daily warehouse activities and help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient facility
• Receive, inspect, and put away incoming inventory
• Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for delivery
• Assist with inventory organization, counting, and warehouse transfers
• Ensure products are properly loaded and secured for transportation
• Assist customers with loading materials when needed
• Maintain accurate delivery and warehouse documentation
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections
• Follow all company safety procedures and DOT requirements
• Help coordinate daily delivery schedules and warehouse priorities
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, drivers, and internal team members
• Assist with other warehouse and operational duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid DOT Medical Card required
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
• Forklift operating experience required
• Previous warehouse and delivery experience
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA certifications
• Forklift certification
• Previous experience in a warehouse leadership or lead position
• Knowledge of the construction industry
• Experience with spray foam insulation or related construction products
• Experience with inventory management systems
• Experience loading and unloading trucks and trailers
• Mechanical aptitude or experience working with equipment
