Patriot Maritime is a leading ship owner and maritime contractor to the U.S. Government providing ship management services to MARAD, the Military Sealift Command (MSC), and commercial vessels. (www.patriotships.com) Offices are located in Concord, CA and Houston, TX.
Patriot Maritime is undertaking a multi-year modernization program focused on integrating systems, eliminating manual processes, improving data visibility, strengthening cybersecurity posture, and enabling automation. This role will work closely with executive leadership, IT, finance, crewing, consultants, and vendors to help implement the future-state architecture and ensure systems connect seamlessly, data flows properly, and business outcomes are achieved.
Primary Objectives of the Role:
- Support execution of the modernization roadmap alongside consultants
- Design and coordinate integrations between core business systems
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and secure connectivity
- Reduce manual workflows with automation tools
- Enable reporting, analytics, and centralized data visibility
- Support crews, finance teams, and operations in adopting new platforms
- Ensure NSE remains the “single source of truth” while connecting supporting systems

- Disconnected systems, duplicate data entry, and manual reconciliations
- Lack of integration between procurement, invoicing, billing, and finance tools
- Legacy platforms and outdated technology limiting automation and reporting

Scope of Work / Core Responsibilities:
Program Execution & Coordination
- Partner with external consultants to implement the digital transformation roadmap
- Serve as the internal technical bridge between IT, business teams, and vendors
- Manage integration tasks, deliverables, and timelines
- Support change management and user adoption
- Document workflows, system connections, data flows, and procedures
Systems Integration & Architecture Alignment
- Support integrations using Azure Logic Apps, Power Platform, and API-based connections
- Help migrate legacy functionality off DocuWare and other retiring platforms
- Ensure secure, reliable data movement between systems
- Support implementation of Azure Virtual Desktop and Intune modernization
- Participate in ERP and NSE upgrades to ensure process continuity
Automation, Workflow, & Efficiency
- Identify high-impact automation opportunities
- Assist business units with low-code automation solutions
- Support electronic forms implementation (DocMap eForms)
- Support development of workflow dashboards and reporting enablement
Data & Reporting Enablement
- Support development of Microsoft Fabric Data Lake and Power BI reporting ecosystem
- Ensure systems produce usable, governed data
- Help teams gain real-time visibility into:
- procurement lifecycle
- billing readiness
- crew onboarding
- expenses
- maintenance and compliance workflows

Position Requirements:
- Experience with enterprise system integrations
- Microsoft ecosystem familiarity (Azure, Dynamics, Power Platform, Fabric)
- Understanding of financial workflows, procurement, billing, or ERP environments
- Experience supporting transformation / modernization initiatives
- Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, HR, IT, and executive leadership
- Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills
