Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitation in residential and commercial spaces
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are met or exceeded
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as needed
• Use appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment safely and effectively to clean floors, carpets, surfaces, and outdoor areas
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, or supplies with proper technique to prevent injury
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces including countertops, appliances, fixtures, and outdoor areas
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service while managing time efficiently to complete tasks promptly

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work or janitorial services; outdoor work experience is a plus
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and janitorial tools
• Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and safety guidelines for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the workday
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and outdoor work conditions
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
• Prior experience in housekeeping management or residential housekeeping is advantageous
