Homecare – Therapy Authorization Coordinator
Location: Training will be done at 986 Tibbetts Wick Rd, Girard, OH 44420. Hybrid schedule with one day a week in office at our Girard and Akron locations.
Business Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

The responsibilities of our Therapy Authorization Coordinators Include:
- Address all insurance denials for therapy department and send appeals when necessary
- Answer general information questions and deliver messages
- Assist with therapy scheduling and availability
- Answer calls from clinical team members
- Assist Therapy Scheduler with task type changes
- Perform other duties as required
Job Conditions:
- Position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines
- It is a primarily a desk job, which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping, and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone communication
Qualifications:
- Medical Background preferred
- Insurance experience preferred
- Must have High School education
- Must have a minimum of six months office experience
- Must possess typing and clerical skills
- Must have a criminal background check
