What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wholesale Parts Advisor/Driver Hybrid position at Patrick Motors Inc?
Role Overview:
Wholesale Parts Advisor/Driver are the primary point of contact for our Wholesale customers when they take orders and deliver parts. The Wholesale Parts Advisor/Drivers will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and that their parts and accessories requests are delivered to the best of their ability in a timely manner. Wholesale Parts Advisor/Drivers are expected to strive to exceed KPIs as outlined by the motor group. In addition to driving responsibilities, the hybrid driver, we’ll also be cross trained as a wholesale parts advisor. On these days you will be processing invoices from online orders using several different platforms as well as phone orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and discuss their parts needs and/or requirements.
- In a timely and accurate manner, process all wholesale orders. (Online, and phone calls)
- Develop relationships and handle customer issues courteously and promptly to maintain a loyal partnership will all customers.
- Safely and efficiently run a company vehicle to deliver parts to customers.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure prompt delivery.
- Verify the accuracy of the parts being delivered or ordered.
- Pick up returns efficiently and correctly fill out any paperwork that may be required.
- General upkeep and maintenance of the department and Wholesale Parts vans, such as cleaning or organizing.
- Fill out paper manifest for accuracy of reporting.
- Collect necessary payments and ensure all transactions are returned to the Wholesale department.
- Load vans efficiently and thoughtfully to ensure timely/quick turnarounds at shops.
- Utilize delivery software to track efficiency and progress throughout the day.
- Contribute to the overall success of the motor group by working with all customers, teams, and departments collaboratively and professionally with a positive attitude.
- Be at work on time or early (no exceptions).
- Be team-oriented with a desire to achieve both individual and collective goals.
- All other duties assigned by management.
Experience Requirements:
- Computer and communication skills must be at a basic level.
- Must have valid drivers and a clean driving record.
- Experience driving larger vehicles under a class D license such as vans.
- Strong decision-making ability and organization are required.
- Employee must have strong attention to detail.
- Employee must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.
- Ability to speak/write/understand Spanish is a plus.
Training and Certifications required (to be started upon hire):
- Engage with PMG training platform(s) (I.e. Leadership training, Microsoft 365, etc.)
- Employee should have a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Physical Requirements:
Employee must be able to sit/stand/drive for long periods of time. Use their hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls. Repeat the same movements for over 8 hours a day. Occasionally need to lift/push/pull items up to 50 lbs. Occasional bending, walking, and mobility will be necessary. Employee must be able to get in and out of vehicles and shovel/ assist with snow removal when necessary. Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop/bend, and reach is required. Employee must be able to speak clearly for repetitiously for up to 8 hours a day.
