Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Residential Electrician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures in residential properties following electrical building codes and safety procedures.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters; perform troubleshooting to identify faults or inefficiencies.
- Conduct electrical system upgrades including high-voltage wiring where applicable, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards.
- Maintain high standards of safety by adhering to electrical safety procedures during all phases of work; utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Perform routine electrical maintenance on existing systems to ensure continued safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to plan projects, read blueprints accurately, and execute installations efficiently while maintaining construction site safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with commercial or industrial electrical systems is a plus; familiarity with industrial motor maintenance and repair is advantageous.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), electrical building codes, and low voltage wiring standards.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws for efficient installation work.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor control equipment, high-voltage wiring, and high-voltage systems is desirable.
- Strong diagnostic skills utilizing ohmmeters, ammeters, and other testing devices for effective troubleshooting.
- Construction site experience with the ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; knowledge of electrical building codes is essential.
