Custodian, part-time

General Description: Performs tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary office environment.

Part-time: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM / 3 days per week 

Requirements:

• Hold a high school diploma or GED
• Ability to read basic operating instructions and follow instructions given
• General knowledge of custodial operations
• Be at least 18 years of age and possess good moral character
• Ability to perform physical labor

Reports To: Patrick County High School Head Custodian; Director of Maintenance

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the building’s interior by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing floors, and performing other general cleaning duties in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize the break room, including countertops, sinks, appliances, and other surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect tables and other frequently touched surfaces in shared spaces, including conference rooms and the break room.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs and light switches.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including stall doors, urinals, toilets, sinks, and other fixtures, using appropriate cleaning materials and methods to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc., as needed.
• Clean windows twice per year.
• Clean and maintain the interior and exterior areas of the building entrance and lobby.
• Collect and remove trash from designated areas as needed and at least twice per week.
• Report damage, maintenance concerns, or other issues involving the building or its property to the appropriate supervisor.
• Perform other assigned duties as assigned.
