What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Parks position at Patrick County Administration?
The County of Patrick is accepting applications from qualified applicants for a part-time Parks & Recreation Assistant. Duties of the position will include, but are not limited to, operating grounds maintenance mowing equipment, including tractors, mowers, and weed eaters; preparing ballfields; trash and debris collection and disposal; assisting with landscaping; miscellaneous general grounds maintenance tasks; assisting with recreational sporting events; and other duties as assigned by the Parks & Recreation Director.
The preferred candidate will have experience with grounds maintenance equipment operation and be able to perform manual labor. A valid Virginia driver's license is required.
This is a part-time position with no benefits. Hours will be scheduled as required between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Evening, weekend, and flexible/irregular work schedules may be required. Hours are limited to 29 or less per workweek.
