Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Henrico, VA for a Licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Agent. The agent will consult with new and existing customers, assess their insurance needs, and recommend appropriate property and casualty products such as auto and homeowners policies. Daily responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound calls, providing personalized quotes, explaining coverage options, processing policy changes, and assisting with billing and basic claims-related inquiries. The agent will also proactively follow up with prospects, manage a sales pipeline, and contribute to meeting agency sales and retention goals. Collaboration with the agency team on marketing efforts, community outreach, and office initiatives is an important part of the position, along with maintaining accurate records in the agency’s systems.
Qualifications
- Sales-oriented skills, with experience in consultative Sales and a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Customer Service experience, demonstrating strong listening skills, empathy, and the ability to handle inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Understanding of Property Management or related fields, enabling effective conversations about property risks and coverage needs.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance license in Virginia
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and accurately.
- Comfort with technology, including CRM or agency management systems, email, and basic office software.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Henrico, VA, manage time effectively, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, finance, or related fields is beneficial.
