Job Description
We are currently seeking a part or full time Medical Assistant to join our Multidisciplinary Family Medicine and Wellness Center in East Houston, Texas! You must enjoy working in a fast-paced, Urgent Care/ General Adult Medicine and Wellness setting.
Duties:
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for:
- Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures
- Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and x-ray room
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Communication with patients on wait time; provide direction to the next step in the treatment process
- Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize and seeking help in emergent situations
- Obtain and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, take brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
- Assist with procedures directly supervised by the provider
- Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visit
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program
- Also open for foreign medical graduate
- Must have Occupational Medicine and/or Family Practice experience
