Responsibilities
- Partner with operational leadership to support workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and people-focused initiatives.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly positions and coordinate with corporate partners on professional-level hiring.
- Oversee onboarding, training programs, and leadership development efforts.
- Support strategic workforce planning, succession planning, and talent evaluations with department leaders.
- Coordinate staffing needs with external staffing partners to optimize labor efficiency.
- Review and interpret HR metrics to identify trends, reduce risk, and align people strategies with organizational goals.
- Guide leaders on employee relations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide recommendations to strengthen retention.
- Champion company values, culture initiatives, and engagement programs across all levels.
- Assist with cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Preferred: PHR or SPHR certification
- Flexibility to adjust schedule & attend off-site recruiting events based on business needs (typically one weekend/month)
- Experience with California-specific labor laws *very* strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, able to convey complex information clearly and confidently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn additional systems quickly.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within teams.
- Ability to meet standard office demands.
