Essential Functions

Customer service pharmacy technicians play a vital role at Patio Drugs. These technicians must use highly developed communication skills to assist our customers and referral sources. This service is crucial to our reputation and repeat business. All customer service pharmacy technicians must be able to execute the following functions:

1. Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. Act as a customer advocate and clearly communicate customer expectations / needs to other departments.

2. Efficiently answer phones and direct calls to the correct department/ personnel.

3. Receive written, telephoned, and electronic prescription orders.

4. Have a clear understanding of workflow and work the processing system to in the most efficient way.

5. Contact physician offices for refill authorizations.

6. Accurately input customer information into the pharmacy dispensing system.

7. Transmit insurance claims via modem or internet.

8. Assist in performance improvement activities as necessary.

9. Attends continuing education courses.

10. Properly maintain equipment used in the processing of prescriptions and maintaining pharmacy documentation.

11. Assist in the orientation and training of new Pharmacy Technicians.

12. Perform any duties necessary as assigned by the pharmacist.

We are currently seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician in our Pharmacy.

Full Time Available. Saturday 9-1 rotation.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
