The opportunity
Delaware North’s Patina Group is hiring a part-time Payroll Assistant to join our team at Patina Event Catering in Los Angeles, California. As a Payroll Assistant, you will process hourly payroll for our team members at Patina Event Catering on a weekly basis. The Payroll Assistant is an essential part of the accounting team and alongside hourly payroll, you will support accounts payable by processing invoices and payments.

What will you do?
- Responsible for the weekly processing of the hourly payroll at the property
- Ensure the payroll complies with local, state, federal, and company policies
- Partner with managers to ensure all team members are paid accurately
- Be a point of contact for team members that have questions about their pay
- Process union dues deductions and prepares check requests for approval and payment
- Review and process purchase orders and invoices in the accounts payable system for approval
More about you
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a payroll clerk position
- Ability to understand and take appropriate action on all payroll related issues
- Proficiency in MS Office, including excellent Excel skills
- No high school diploma or GED required
