Position Title - Multi-Modality (Radiology/CT) Technologist

Position Goals

This job description for the Multi-Modality Technologist at Patients Emergency Room and Hospital provides criteria for evaluation in performance, attitude and discipline. The Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiologic diagnostic procedures to patients according to physicians’ orders and protocols. This Clinical position requires skills and experience in providing patient safety and providing high quality testing. The Multi-Modality Technologist at Patients Emergency Room and Hospital will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort, dignity and rights.

Position Responsibilities:

The Multi-Modality Technologist at Patients Emergency Room and Hospital will be responsible for:

  • Operate X-ray and CT equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain accurate images.
  • Follow protocols and safety guidelines specific to each imaging procedure.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on imaging equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Monitor patients throughout the imaging process, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Address any concerns or questions patients may have before, during, or after the procedure.
  • Review and assess images for quality, adjusting as needed to ensure optimal results.
  • Work closely with radiologists to ensure that the images meet diagnostic requirements.
  • Document images and maintain patient records as per facility protocol.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety standards and protocols to minimize exposure to both patients and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as institutional policies.
  • Use appropriate protective equipment such as lead shields when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including radiologists, physicians, and nurses.
  • Provide technical assistance and information to colleagues, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate results.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and image documentation in electronic health systems.
  • Assist with inventory management of imaging supplies and ensure their availability.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy, radiation safety, and imaging protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with patients.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to assess image quality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a clinical environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

Position Requirements:

The requirements for this role with Patients Emergency Room and Hospital are:

  • Graduated with degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Current ARRT and TMB Licensure
  • CPR certification
  • Maintains a level of continuing education, collaborative training and interactions in radiology field.
Preferred Experience/Certifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in X-Ray and CT.
  • Registered CT Technologist.

Physical Demands

Standing and walking twisting
Lifting and Carrying Bending/Stooping
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., with assistance
Working with chemicals
Working near Radiation sources
Potential exposure to communicable diseases
