The Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) at PCP Urgent Care Holdings LLC is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role involves operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality radiographic images to support the medical team in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, as prescribed by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance.
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection standards to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality, ensuring clarity and accuracy for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide necessary information for patient diagnosis.
- Assist with patient care activities, including explaining procedures and providing reassurance to patients.
- Stay updated with advancements in radiologic technology and techniques to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist in a clinical setting.
- Experience in an urgent care environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven track record of performing diagnostic imaging procedures with high accuracy and precision.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in operating radiographic equipment and conducting various radiologic examinations.
- Strong understanding of radiology safety protocols and procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
