Patient Guide Solutions in Little Rock is growing, and we need a Press Helper to support our Pressman and print production team.
About Us: Patient Guide Solutions partners with hospitals across the country to create printed patient guides. Our guides are given to patients at admission to help them understand their hospital stay and care for themselves after discharge.
Location and Hours: This is a full-time, on-site Press Helper position located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Shift hours are 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday (four 10-hour work days).
Job Description: This position reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for assisting in the set-up, operation, and maintenance of our offset Ryobi RMGT 9 printing press to produce high-quality printed materials, with a focus on color consistency, quality control, and timely production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation. Assist in setting up and changing over print jobs, mounting and unmounting plates, and loading paper.
- Ink & Quality Control: Mix ink, check ink levels and viscosities, and verify print position and color quality throughout the run.
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Clean and oil presses and parts, perform routine maintenance, and make minor repairs like removing and replacing worn parts.
- Safety & Logistics: Help maintain a clean, safe workspace; transport finished prints and other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Training: We are willing to train the right person - potential for future growth to Press Operator
- Technical Knowledge: Willing to understand printing, machinery and computer controlled systems.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minor flaws or inconsistencies in print quality.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
- Education: High school diploma
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
