Overview
Pathways to Progress Therapy is seeking a fun, dedicated, and compassionate COTAs to join or team to work with our pediatric clients at our Coral Springs Location. We are a neurodiversity affirming team. If you are a COTA who is not afraid to get silly or messy with sensory play, submit an application and come check us out. We have clients on the schedule Monday to Thursday morning to evening until 6:30 PM and Friday afternoons, with an option to build up into the mornings as the schedule permits. Weekends are possible with higher hourly compensation, but not required. We have a sensory gym and separate fine motor room where we engage our young clients in play-based and child-led therapeutic sessions. Our COTAs enjoy a yearly stipend to use toward AOTA/FOTA approved CEU courses. In addition to their hourly rates, they also enjoy an hourly administrative pay for accrued note time each pay period (1 hour of note time for every 7 hours of treatment). Our team is friendly, caring, and professional and pride ourselves in our daily collaboration in treating our daily caseloads. While this is currently a contract position, as the schedule builds, other W-2 options and other benefits can be possible for the right candidates.
Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans based on individual needs and goals.
- Conduct therapeutic activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Monitor patient progress and document changes in their condition or response to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
Skills
- Understanding of Sensory Integration as it relates to our pediatric clients, or a willingness to learn.
- Professionalism is a must! Our families rely on us to show up on time and be ready to treat their children when they arrive for their appointments.
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. We are a team and need to communicate effectively for things to run smoothly on a daily basis.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and support throughout treatment processes.
Pay: $33.00 - $41.00 per hour
