Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mental Health Professional to join our dedicated team. Duties

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual requirements.
  • Deliver individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions via in-person or telehealth platforms while maintaining clinical documentation standards.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
  • Provide specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities or co-occurring disorders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure continuity of care in inpatient, outpatient, or community settings.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines using EMR/EHR systems.
  • Engage in clinical research activities and data collection to support program development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct intake assessments for new clients, ensuring comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and clinical history for effective treatment planning.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), (PLPC), (LMSW), (CSW), or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with disabilities in outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and art/dance therapy is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, co-occurring disorders, or chronic pain is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively through client communication strategies and culturally competent care.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations swiftly while demonstrating strong crisis management skills.
  • Telehealth experience is advantageous; familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical records management is essential.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions enhances clinical effectiveness.
