Salary Range: $32,500 – $37,500

Location: Flexible within Pathways' 10-county service area

Position Summary

The Youth Treatment Coordinator (YTC) is responsible for promoting awareness, prevention, early intervention, and recovery support related to youth and young adult substance use and co-occurring mental health needs. This position focuses on community outreach, education, peer support, and coordination of evidence-based services for youth and families. The YTC will work collaboratively with internal teams, community partners, and service providers to strengthen and sustain a continuum of care for youth experiencing or at risk for substance use and co-occurring disorders.

The successful candidate must have lived experience with a substance use disorder and be eligible to obtain Kentucky Registered Alcohol and Drug (RAD) certification within the required timeframe.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide community outreach and education to increase awareness of youth substance use, recovery resources, screening tools, and available services.
  • Conduct presentations and educational sessions for schools, community groups, and service organizations.
  • Utilize lived experience to provide hope, encouragement, advocacy, and peer support to youth and families navigating substance use recovery.
  • Support the development and implementation of evidence-based, developmentally appropriate prevention, treatment, and recovery support services.
  • Collaborate with internal programs, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners to coordinate referrals and continuity of care.
  • Participate in community coalitions and task forces focused on youth behavioral health and substance use prevention.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and program data in accordance with agency and funding requirements.
  • Adhere to all Pathways policies, procedures, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Travel throughout the Pathways service area as needed.

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Lived experience with a substance use disorder and sustained recovery required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain Kentucky Registered Alcohol and Drug (RAD) certification within the required timeframe.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with youth or young adults in human services, behavioral health, substance use treatment, peer support, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience providing peer support, mentoring, advocacy, or recovery services is preferred.

Skills And Knowledge

  • Knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery principles, youth development, and behavioral health services.
  • Ability to use lived experience in a professional, recovery-oriented manner to engage and support individuals and families.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with schools, families, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and travel throughout the service area.

This is a full time position
