Activities Team Member, Memory Care

Join our dedicated facility as an Activities Team Member specializing in Memory Care, where your enthusiasm and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-related challenges.

Position Summary: The Activity Team Member facilitates activities for residents with varying cognitive abilities. Our primary Focus is to provide appropriate and meaningful activities to the residents in Pathway Memory Care. These activities will be both group and individualized.

Qualifications/Skills Necessary:

• Dementia care experience is preferred, but not
• required.
• Communication skills to personalize approach.
• Ability to organize, identify and execute tasks on a routine basis with minimal oversight.
• Maintaining a positive attitude in all interactions with staff, family members and residents.
• Mindset of all activities should be adult like in nature for resident participation and approach.

Responsibilities:

• Lead group activities listed on the monthly activity calendar.
• Assist with one-on-one activities for residents who are unable to participate in group activities.
• Encourage resident assistants to assist with activities.
• Assist with ordering activity supplies.
• Gather and organize activity supplies for scheduled activities.
• Clean and organize activity areas and storage areas as needed.
• Assist with distributing daily snacks and hydration to the residents.
• Gather residents for activities and meals.
• Assist with daily meal service.
• Assist with resident outings including planning, executing and helping residents onto and off of the bus, supervising residents on the bus and off of the bus at a destination.
• Help plan and organize monthly birthday celebrations and special events.
• Complete the Monthly Activity Calendar.
• Assist with decorating the community for special events and seasons as needed.
• Take pictures during activities, outings and events for media purposes.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
