Lead School Age Instructor (Part-Time)

1 | SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for managing youth activities, interacting with parents, and ensuring youth safety. Responsible for ensuring the office and program operates effectively and efficiently in accordance with all DCYF, state, and federal regulations.

2 | MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Cultivates a safe and fun environment for student learning and ensures the program runs smoothly and efficiently

· Ensure School Age Instructors follow all policies and procedures

· Train staff on roles and responsibilities

· Responsible for student and parent relations ensuring all documentation is received, and writing and distributing all parent notices

· Meets with parents to discuss child development and progress under the direction of the Site Administration Coordinator

· Co-Host parent engagement meetings, and initiate outcomes from parent suggestions and recommendations when it does not conflict with PKA policy

· Develops weekly activity and meal schedules and calendars, staff schedules

· Posts student and staff allergy information, posting labor-related posters and notices, and maintaining emergency phone logs and lists as directed by the Site Administration Coordinator

· Maintains all daily logs, including medication log

· Assists with all fire safety drills and meets with the fire department to coordinate all fire drills

· Reports staff violations to Site Administration Coordinator and Owner

· Ensure staff follow the daily checklists and logs are kept

· Generates notices to parents

· May drive the van if staff are not present (if qualified)

· Ensure activity areas and van are cleaned each day

· Performs other administrative or office duties as required or as assigned
