Position Overview:
The Physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, managing both chronic and acute conditions, and promoting overall wellness. This role demands strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Clinical Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions.
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, screenings).
- Counsel patients on prevention, lifestyle changes, and treatment options.
- Provide emergency care and stabilize patients when needed.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
- Make specialist referrals when necessary and ensure continuity of care.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and all relevant state and federal medical regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in clinical practice, treatments, and healthcare policies.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and pursue continuing medical education (CME).
- Mentor medical staff, residents, or trainees as needed.
- Contribute to community health initiatives and lead patient education efforts.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certified or board eligible (preferred).
- Active, unrestricted state medical license.
- DEA certification to prescribe controlled substances.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and decision-making skills.
