$18.75/hour, goes to $20.25 upon conversion onced hired through the company

Duties

• Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to retrieve items at various heights and locations within the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and heavy-duty lift trucks.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Assist with order picking processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in fulfilling customer orders.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by preparing items for dispatch or receipt, verifying quantities, and documenting movements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve distribution workflows.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage order data.
• Perform heavy lifting as required while following proper safety procedures for materials handling.
• Participate in team efforts to improve operational efficiency through adherence to best practices in warehouse distribution.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating cherry pickers, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other heavy equipment within a warehouse setting.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
• Prior experience in warehouse management or supervision is highly desirable.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements.
• Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent training preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members across shipping, receiving, and distribution functions.
