Job Description
Join our Team. Growing, faith based, private, foster family and adoption agency is expanding our team with a Home study writer/Social Worker for Foster Care/ Adoption in Northern Santa Barbara County. Interested persons must have a master’s degree in Social Work with two years prior work experience in foster care.
Applicants with the following master’s degrees will be considered:
· Marriage, Family and Child Counseling,
· Counseling Psychology
· Clinical Psychology
· Social Psychology
· Child Psychology
· Child Development
· Educational Psychology
· Education with emphasis in Counseling
·Bachelors with two years of relevant experience will be considered and will have to go through exception process.
Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred but not required for this position.
Job description is to interview, assess, complete home studies/family evaluations for resource family applicants. The position will require interviewing of all family members and writing an evaluation based on the interviews and collateral information received from the agency. Excellent rapport building skills, interviewing skills, and writing skills are required. A writing sample may be requested during the interview.
Current positions are available in Santa Maria/Lompoc, CA.

Job Type: Full-time
Days: Monday-Friday (will require some evenings for interviewing appointments). May be periodically required to perform out of area and overnight travel.
Salary Range: $60,000- $65,000 (to start based on education and relevant experience)
