Job Title: Higher Apprentice Radar Electrical / Mechanical Engineer
Location: Portsmouth, Cowes or Broad Oak
Salary: Starting from £22,500 with annual progression through the scheme duration

Requirements
Qualification requirements5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following:
3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject
OR
An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)

What You’ll Be Doing
- Utilise engineering drawings, data and documentation in order to undertake the design, evaluation, measuring, diagnosing & verification of technical performance on a wide range of mechanical, electrical and electronic assemblies and components found within our complex Maritime and Land based Radar products
- This covers Radio Frequency transmit and receive modules, power regulators, control boards and other bespoke assemblies
- Gain knowledge and expertise in the use of a wide range of common and specialist design, measuring and diagnostic tools & testing equipment, in order to follow a technical specification and process to ensure individual components and assemblies meet the required parameters
By The End Of The Apprenticeship, You Will Obtain
- Level 4 Apprenticeship Certificate Engineering (Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard)
- Higher National Certificate in Engineering
