This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative two-physician team, with plans to expand to three pathologists as the hospital completes its major renovations and clinical volume continues to rise. Practice Overview
- The team currently signs out 40–60 cases per day, including both surgical specimens and cytologies. The case mix spans GI biopsies and resections, colon and breast pathology, thyroid FNAs, body fluids, and occasional frozen sections. The volume is expected to increase further once hospital expansion is complete.
- The practice is 80% digital. All surgical biopsies are digitized for review, while cytology is the remaining area pending full digital conversion. The pathologists work on-site daily, with flexibility to accommodate occasional remote work as the team grows.
- Call responsibilities are minimal, shared on a 1-in-3 rotation, and typically light. The group has strong internal coverage, enabling vacation flexibility and consistent support.
