PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist to join a collegial group serving a busy regional referral facility in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. This is a full-time, hospital-based position offering a broad and stimulating case mix, opportunities for subspecialty work, and strong support from both local colleagues and PathGroup’s extensive subspecialty network. The ideal candidate will bring excellent diagnostic skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to delivering high-quality pathology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • General surgical pathology and cytopathology sign-out
  • Frozen section interpretation and intraoperative consultations
  • Non-gynecologic cytopathology and ROSE for interventional pulmonary procedures
  • Participation in tumor boards and interdisciplinary case discussions
  • Quality assurance and collaborative hospital engagement

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • AP/CP Board Certification or Eligibility required
  • Virginia medical license or eligibility required
  • Strong diagnostic and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
