Community Experience Facilitator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Coordinates scheduling and planning of recreational activities for workshop clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leisure opportunities and education to enhance various skill areas to clients attending adult development center.
• Plans and prepares for offsite client activities including permission slips, collecting funds, scheduling transportation and payment of services.
• Assists with all Special Olympic events including assigning uniforms; gathering tents, chairs, coolers, etc.; purchasing drinks, snacks, sunscreen, ice, etc.; scheduling transportation.
• Plans and executes all onsite events at the workshop.
• Serves as job coach for the front desk and coffee shop.
• Purchases necessary supplies for the coffee shop.
• Schedules clients to work in the coffee shop and assists as needed including collecting money, stocking, cleaning, etc.
• Will work in a cooperative team spirit with all Pathfinder Inc. departments, staff, individuals served, and families.
• Completes waiver paperwork for all clients going on outings, Special Olympics and working in the coffee shop.
• Serves as a fill in Program Training Instructor as needed.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current Arkansas driver's license, auto liability insurance and registration. Job Coach certification.
