Role Description This is part-time remote Therapist role. The Therapist will conduct individual and, when appropriate, couples and family therapy sessions via a secure telehealth platform (Simple Practice), using evidence-based modalities aligned with PTR’s solution-focused, family systems, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. Ongoing responsibilities include completing thorough assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and monitoring client progress toward goals. The Therapist will collaborate with clients to promote insight, coping skills, and resilience, and may coordinate care with other providers when appropriate. The role also involves participating in case consultation, maintaining ethical and legal standards, and engaging in ongoing professional development to support high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Ability to apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems interventions.
- Strong skills in client assessment, treatment planning, and goal setting tailored to diverse individual needs.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in electronic health record systems.
- Effective communication and active listening skills to build rapport, foster trust, and support client engagement in a remote setting.
- Capacity to manage a part-time remote caseload with strong time management, organization, and self-directed work habits.
- Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.
- Demonstrated cultural humility and ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities.
- Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field; relevant clinical licensure or licensure-eligibility in the practicing jurisdiction preferred.
