About the Opportunity
Do you thrive in the kitchen and have a passion for creating memorable dining experiences? The Hilltop Restaurant at Steele Hill Resort is looking for an enthusiastic Line Cook to bring creativity, consistency, and energy to our kitchen. In this role, you’ll prepare and cook a variety of family friendly dishes for our guests while working in a lively, supportive, and rewarding environment. Do you enjoy cooking breakfast? If so, don't forget to mention that because we need someone to cook breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm.

What You’ll Do
- Receive and prepare guest orders with precision and care.
- Cook meats, fish, vegetables, baked goods, and specialty dishes to perfection.
- Master various cooking methods: grilling, frying, broiling, baking, and more.
- Ensure every plate looks as good as it tastes — portion, garnish, and present beautifully.
- Season, taste, and test food to guarantee quality and consistency.
- Prep ingredients and dishes ahead for the next day’s service.
- Assist with unloading, inspecting, and storing food supplies.
- Keep the kitchen spotless — clean equipment, counters, and utensils.
- Maintain safe, sanitary practices while following all health guidelines.
- Pitch in with additional duties as needed — teamwork makes the dream work!
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Certificates & Licenses
- ServSafe Certification preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 11–25 lbs. regularly; 25–50 lbs. occasionally.
- Comfortable standing and walking for 8–12 hours per shift.
- Ability to reach, push, pull, grasp, and handle kitchen equipment and supplies.
